We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team full-time. In this role, you’ll tackle complex technical challenges across diverse industries, partnering closely with startup founders and technical teams. With a focus on React and AWS, you’ll lead high-priority projects, guiding both the technical direction and engineering practices that shape Thin Air Labs. This position offers opportunities for growth and leadership development as you help define our engineering approach.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as a trusted client partner, supporting founders and engineering teams in building innovative, scalable products.
- Leading the architecture and development of applications with React and AWS, ensuring robust, cloud-native solutions that scale with client needs.
- Providing technical leadership through solution architecture, coding standards, and best practices, and actively contributing to our engineering roadmap.
- Mentoring and developing other engineers on the team, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
- Writing and maintaining high-quality, well-tested code that aligns with best practices and enhances product stability, performance, and scalability.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years experience with React Native and expertise in deploying scalable solutions on AWS.
- A background in full-stack web development, including proficiency in JavaScript and experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Demonstrated ability to work with at least one other programming language, such as Go or JavaScript, and familiarity with SQL or other databases.
- Strong foundation in software architecture and design principles, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
- A track record of critical thinking and problem-solving skills at a high level, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Some leadership experience in guiding teams and promoting best practices, with excellent time management and the ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative setting.
