We're two! It's hard to believe, as time has lost much of its meaning during this pandemic, but yes, Thin Air Labs is officially two years old.

We launched Thin Air Labs with an event during a cold snap in January 2020. Hundreds of people braved the harsh temperatures to find out who we were and what our vision was for Calgary and beyond.

Since then, we've solidified our vision, to ignite venture growth for greater human impact. And we designed a whole new model for venture building called the ecosystem studio. This model allows us to support ventures with both our capital arm and our Impact Services. This model also means that we support the innovation ecosystem and our critical ecosystem partners to create the conditions for success for even more ventures.

Over the past two years, we have put our beliefs into practice, by putting founders first when we partner with them, by surrounding early stage ventures with what they need to grow, and in turn creating that meaningful human impact that is our North Star.

As our ventures have grown, we have too. We have more than 20 ventures in our portfolio now with more coming soon.  Our team has grown to almost 20 people (plus all the contributors we bring in to help.) And with our Funding Catalyst and Product Traction services we've helped nearly 100 companies overcome barriers to growth. And we are expanding these Services into the Toronto market.

And soon, we'll be able to make exciting announcements regarding Thin Air Fund 1, and our goal to raise 100M dollars.

So, it's time to celebrate. And we're doing that, by celebrating the founders that we partner with every day and the incredible human impact they're creating with their growing ventures.
